Add to that the beauty and recreational opportunities, and you have a glimpse of why Carlyle is a great place to call home. The community has a wide variety of housing accommodations. This includes apartments, mobile homes, senior's housing, a nursing home and single-family homes. All the streets are paved. New Residential Subdivision A new residential subdivision is being constructed at the south end of town, with lots available for single family swellings. This subdivision is located close to both schools as well as the ball diamonds and swimming pool. Carlyle Housing Authority Saskatchewan has a public housing portfolio of over 20,000 units. Each local Housing Authority is entrusted to manage and maintain in good condition the housing projects which have been assigned to it. A manager, under the supervision of a volunteer board of directors, provides services on behalf of Saskatchewan Municipal Government Housing division. Accommodations are also made to address the housing needs of disabled persons. Support services are provided to each community housing authority by territory office personnel based in Weyburn. Carlyle Housing Authority offers a number of options: (1) Affordable housing -- Carlyle has two apartment buildings with 18 rental units each; (2) Low income housing; (3) Seniors Housing. The office is located at #4 - 109 5th Street West Subsidized Seniors Housing Heritage Court provides subsidized housing for seniors over the age of 60. This 16 unit housing project is located on the west side of town. The Carlyle housing authority administers this development.
Lion's Life Lease The Lion's Life Leases provide housing for residents over the age of 50. The 16-unit duplex condos are located on the south side of town near main street and Centennial Park. These units are perfect for individuals/couples who want to own their own home but do not want the hassle of upkeep, etc
